I'm a software engineer based in in Kathmandu, Nepal. I've spent the last years shipping full-stack products across ed-tech, mobility, and content platforms. These days most of my time goes into systems that don't fall over, reviews that actually teach, and helping the engineers around me get better.

Senior Software Development Engineer
Innovate Tech · Kathmandu, Nepal
- Led the design and delivery of on-demand admin features, a chat system, and several academic delivery apps.
- Took over versioning, caching, and monitoring and watched the recurring production issues mostly disappear.
- Wrote impact docs that helped decision-makers see the tradeoffs before we shipped, which measurably cut delivery issues.
- Mentored junior devs and interns through daily assignments and code reviews.

Software Development Engineer
Insight Workshop · Kathmandu, Nepal
- Shipped Mobility as a Service, CMS, and ed-tech projects from first commit to production.
- Built proofs-of-concept for video editing and chat systems in JavaScript and Python.
- Ran feasibility tests and demoed final versions to stakeholders, PMs, and execs.
- Worked in agile teams with daily scrums and user story planning, and helped interview engineering candidates.

- Learned the basics properly: Git, PEP8, file and data handling, and PostgreSQL schema design.
- Shipped a capstone content management system using Django REST Framework and AngularJS.

- Researched divide-and-conquer and page-rank algorithms for integration into an existing product.
- Analyzed news delivery system models and compiled detailed reports on growth potential.

Everything below shipped to real users. I've written up each one the way I think about work: the problem, what I did, and what changed.

01 — Innovate Tech

mySecondTeacher (MST)

Problem: Academic delivery was scattered across tools, and every new school meant another bespoke site build.
Approach: Built reusable session, assignment, and subject modules, then a template CMS with per-school subdomains.
Impact: Schools go live in hours instead of weeks, and the recurring production issues mostly went away after the versioning, caching, and monitoring work.

02 — Insight Workshop

MergeEDU — Digital Learning

Problem: Teachers and schools had no shared view of AR learning progress, and 3D content authoring required specialists.
Approach: Built role-specific dashboards and an in-browser 3D object editor that maps content onto the Merge Cube.
Impact: Educators without 3D backgrounds can author AR lessons, and schools in multiple countries use it.

03 — Insight Workshop

LevelUp — Bootcamp Platform

Problem: Bootcamp cohorts needed video, discussion, and assessments in one place, and playback had to work with captions.
Approach: Wrote the subtitle rendering for multimedia lessons and built out chat, announcements, and MCQ assessments.
Impact: One platform replaced three tools, with captions on every lesson.

04 — Insight Workshop

Yatru — Mobility as a Service

Problem: A new ride-hailing entrant needed a production-grade matching system built from scratch, fast.
Approach: Built it from scratch: geo-location driver search, the ride lifecycle, and the rider and driver apps.
Impact: Shipped to production with 1,000+ registered users on the platform.

05 — Prana Home Care

Smart Booking App

Problem: Families seeking elderly care and lab services had no single place to discover providers and book appointments online.
Approach: Built the full booking flow — caregiver and lab listings with detail pages, appointment scheduling, authentication and profiles, Khalti checkout, and Leaflet location maps.
Impact: The whole journey from discovery to payment, live on Vercel with appointment dashboards for registered users.
